For almost 70 years Horn in the West has played in Daniel Boone Theater under the star filled Boone night sky. Horn is the oldest outdoor drama related to the American Revolution in the United States.
Horn has been a High-country tradition that will continue for as long as people have an interst in the story of the region.
Hickory Ridge Living History Museum portrays what life was like in the North Carolina Backcountry during the American Revolutionary War. The Museum consists of seven historic structures built from the 1770s through to the 1930s. The museum is staffed by historical interpreters wearing period appropriate attire and they give tours of each of the buildings telling their story as well as teaching the public about life in the 18th Century
