For almost 70 years the Southern Appalachian Historical Association (SAHA) located in Daniel Boone park in beautiful Boone North Carolina, has kept the history of the Appalachian Region alive through its continuous production of the outdoor drama Horn in the West and the Hickory Ridge Living History Museum.

These two exhibits will explore the history of Horn in the West and Hickory Ridge Living History Museum from their conception to the modern day and will include photos and interviews from former and current SAHA employees and volunteers.
Horn in the West and Hickory Ridge Living History Museum are located at 591 Horn in the West Dr. Boone NC 28607

Hickory Ridge is open April through November with tours every 30 minutes Tuesday through Saturday and Horn in the West runs mid-June to early August every summer with the 2020 season beginning on June 19, 2020!
